Blind date is a danceperformance about a boy, a girl, a loveletter, a meeting point... -and a blindstick.
A quite normal story really...or is it?
What would you do, if you where 13 and just got a loveletter, but couldnt read it because you where blind?
We meet a blind girl who just has recieved a loveletter, asking if she wants to meet below the watch at the Central Station. She decides to go there on her own, because who would like to ask for help for a date?
Her journey through the city turns into a moderns cirt adventure, where the welknown city images are transformed is into the city she hears and imagines inside.
Did you know that the exit of a metro sounds like a cave full of insects?
Or did you know that a suitcase pulled across a stone road sounds like galloping of a wild animal?
It is a mgical and tough adventure world she fights her way through on her journey towards the boy who is waiting impatiently at the Central Station.
When she will finally arrive there, how will she fnd him? Will she recognize his steps? Or the smell of his clothes?
Blind date is a visual, dynamic, tough and poetic danceperformance for the 10-14 year olds.
A piece about the meeting between the world of the seeing and the blind.
A moderne city adventure about being teenager, blind and in love.
